// Versa-Skid®
The Versa-Skid® modular skid provides a unique platform to support various equipment and piping. Used in conjunction with the Versa-Skid® Pipe Supports and Versa-Skid® Wedge Supports, the grid design allows lateral and horizontal placement of pipe supports across the entire surface of the skid. The Versa-Skid® Pipe Supports are bolted in place allowing field adjustment in three axis and eliminating the need to weld supports in place.
- The patented grid system allows easy placement of supports and stands in lateral and horizontal positions using retaining washers, bolts, and nuts, eliminating the need for field modifications.
- Standard 14ft L × 8ft-6in W skids are designed to ship as legal loads on standard flatbed trailers, with multiple skids able to be connected in the field to achieve the required footprint. Skids can be shipped standalone or with equipment and piping mounted to reduce field installation time.
- The standard frame is constructed from W8 × 35 beams, and all components are hot-dip galvanized for superior corrosion protection and long-term outdoor durability.
- The Versa-Skid® is designed to be used in industrial, utility, or commercial applications where equipment and piping need to be fixed to or supported by a strong base. Ideal for use in the petroleum and natural gas industry, the Versa-Skid® design reduces engineering and fabrication efforts. The Versa-Skid® provides a robust platform to both permanently install and ship equipment.
The patented grid system allows Versa-Skid® Pipe Supports and Versa-Skid® Wedge Supports to be positioned across the Versa-Skid® surface to support a wide range of piping layouts. The standard 14ft × 8ft-6in Versa-Skid® provides a large support area and can be connected to additional skids in the field to create larger platforms. The standard frame is constructed from W8 × 35 beams and is designed to support equipment, valves, and piping 12in and larger, with custom designs available for increased loading requirements. ISW also provides custom fabrication of piping and assemblies, including API 1104 fabrication, with completed assemblies often shipped installed on the skid to reduce field labor and improve quality.

Safety Barricades

// Versa-Skid® Barricade
The Versa-Skid® Barricade is an easy to install barrier designed to provide an additional layer of protection to exposed above ground piping and equipment from vehicles. The barricade is designed to meet new integrity standards set by the Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration (PHMSA) for the gas distribution industry. The barricade can be used anywhere that there may be a need to reduce the risk of a potential collision or contact with sensitive equipment and piping. The Versa-Skid® Barricade allows easy installation around existing structures and equipment without the need for welding or other intrusive installation means.
- A patented connector allows the rigid and strong posts and railings to be easily assembled and disassembled if necessary with allen head socket screws.
- A removable plastic cap allows posts to be filled with concrete providing additional strength if necessary.
- All surfaces of the barricade are Hot Dip Galvanized Coated.
- The Versa-Skid® Barricade was designed to provide an additional level of protection to above ground natural gas piping and equipment from potential contact with vehicles. The barricade system can be used anywhere a need exists to prevent motorized vehicles or equipment from coming in contact with equipment.

Canopy Structures

// ISW Telemetry Canopy
The ISW Telemetry Canopy is a purpose-built structural steel enclosure designed to house electrical panels, RTU equipment, and instrumentation cabinets at natural gas metering and monitoring sites. The canopy is engineered to protect sensitive electronics from weather and unauthorized access while providing clear equipment access. All structural steel is hot-dip galvanized per ASTM A123 for long-term outdoor corrosion resistance. The structure is designed and stamped by a licensed structural engineer to comply with the 2015 International Building Code.
- Structural frame constructed from HSS6x6x1/4 columns and HSS5x3x1/4 roof framing members, all hot-dip galvanized per ASTM A123 with SSPC-SP6 surface preparation.
- Roof panels are 24-gauge TS panels with Kynar 500 (PVDF) coating in Ash Gray, attached with self-drilling screws and designed for 21 PSF ASD uplift load and 10 PSF flat roof snow load.
- Equipment cabinets mount to HSS columns via Unistrut or equal cabinet support attached with self-drilling screws, allowing flexible positioning of RTU, electrical panel, and instrumentation enclosures.
- Base plates (3/4" x 12" x 12") are anchored to a 9'-0" x 8'-0" x 1'-3" thick reinforced concrete pad via cast-in-place ASTM F1554 Grade 36 anchor bolts, with 2" grout under all base plates.
- Designed for natural gas telemetry and remote monitoring sites where RTU enclosures, electrical panels, and instrumentation require permanent weatherproof shelter. Suitable for unmanned field installations requiring Occupancy Category IV structural compliance and resistance to high-wind and snow environments.
